Fair porter loads
Weight limits, insurance, proper kit and the same lodging standard as our guides. Non-negotiable, and we'll show you the numbers.
Who we are
We're based in Kathmandu, and every guide on our team comes from the region they lead in. That's the whole idea.
Our story
Most trekking companies are booking agents. They sell you a trip and subcontract the walking to whoever is available that week.
We started the other way round — as guides who were tired of watching clients get handed off to strangers at the trailhead. Everyone who leads a Trek Nepal group has walked that route dozens of times, speaks the local language, and knows which lodge has the good stove.
That means we run fewer trips than we could. It also means the person who meets you at the airport is the person who'll be beside you at 5,000 m.
What we hold to
Weight limits, insurance, proper kit and the same lodging standard as our guides. Non-negotiable, and we'll show you the numbers.
If someone isn't acclimatising, the trip changes. We would rather refund a summit day than carry someone down.
One number, everything in. No "optional" permit fees appearing at the trailhead, no tipping expectations sprung on you at the end.
The team
Sample profiles showing the structure — swap in your real guides, their photographs and their certification numbers before this goes live.
Born in the Solukhumbu and walking the Everest trails since his teens. Leads the Base Camp and Gokyo departures, and is the person who will notice you've gone quiet at 4,900 m before you mention it.
Runs the Annapurna Sanctuary and Poon Hill departures, and most of our family trips. Unhurried, endlessly patient with first-time trekkers, and known for knowing exactly which teahouse does the best dal bhat.
Handles permits, domestic flights and the phone call when Lukla closes for the day. Answers enquiries within a working day and will tell you honestly if a trek is wrong for your dates.
How a booking works
Dates, how long you have, how hard you want to work. We'll come back within a day with a route that fits — or an honest note that a different trek suits you better.
Itinerary, acclimatisation days, permits, internal flights and lodges. One price, everything listed. A deposit secures the permits and the flights; nothing is hidden until you arrive.
Met at the airport, briefed in Kathmandu, and on the trail with the same guide from start to finish. We handle the logistics so you can concentrate on putting one foot down after the other.
